4.5 kilometres road to be paved in Laghman

Jul 2, 2008 MAHTARLAM (PAN): The pavement of a 4.5 kilometres road, a project costing 5.2 million afghanis, began on Wednesday in Qarghayee district of the eastern Laghman province, officials said. The regional head of the National Solidarity Programme (NSP) - a flagship project of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) - said the four-metre wide road was being paved beside. Engineer Hamayun Akseer told Pajhwok Afghan News there was no paved road in the area in the past. With a timescale of four months, the scheme is expected to generate 1800 jobs and benefit around ...
