Deputy Foreign Minister Meets Iranian Ambassador and General Consuls to Afghanistan

KABUL – Deputy Foreign Minister for Management and Resources Dr. Nasir Ahmad Andisha met with the Ambassador and General Consuls of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Heart, Kandahar, Balkh and Nangarhar provinces this afternoon.

Iranian Ambassador Mr. Bahrami reminding the friendly and brotherly relations and cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran emphasized on consolidating and further expanding political and economic ties between the two countries.

General Consuls of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the mentioned provinces recalling their activities, consular services and achievements, asked the Deputy Foreign Minister for addressing their issues and concerns such as, increasing the number of security forces for ensuring their Representatives security in the mentioned provinces, processing the land documents of Iran’s Representative in Heart province, Iranian prisoners in Afghan prisons, Diplomatic cards for Iranian diplomats, customs exemptions for Iranian Representatives in Afghanistan and providing facilities during commuting at Kabul Airport. They also discussed the existing consular issues in Zaranj, Nimroz province.

While the directors general of consular affairs, law and treaties, and deputies of the chief of staff office, protocols, offices of the spokesperson and directorate general of communications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present, Dr. Andisha calling the relations between Afghanistan and Iran friendly and strengthened than any other times, promising comprehensive cooperation, committing to pursue the mentioned issues and problems with relevant Afghan departments and guided the officials of the directorates to pursue the mentioned issues and problems.
