Deputy Foreign Minister Meets Pakistani National Security Advisor

Islamabad - Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Khalil Karzai met with Pakistani National Security Advisor Mr. Nasser Khan Janjua, this morning, to discuss Afghanistan-Pakistan relations in light of the finalization of APAPPS.

Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the need for operationalization of APAPPS through practical measures leading to tangible results.

While agreeing with Deputy Foreign Minister Karzai, National Security Advisor Mr. Nasser Khan Janjua outlined the economic potential of an improved relations between the two countries through connectivity for achieving shared prosperity.

Deputy Foreign Minister Karzai highlighted that economic cooperation should become the focus of bilateral relations and be kept separate from other issues.

Both sides agreed on the importance of a joint approach to address the challenges that both countries faced.
