Deputy Foreign Minister Meets UAE Embassy Chargé d'affaires

KABUL – Deputy Foreign Minister Mrs. Adela Raz met with the United Arab Emirates Embassy chargé d'affaires, Mr. Saif Al-Shamsi today.

At the outset, Mrs. Raz expressed delight for the re-opening of the UAE Embassy in Kabul and deemed the assistance by the United Arab Emirates for the economic development of Afghanistan in various spheres as valuable. She also talked on the expansion of bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries and counted the contribution of the United Arab Emirates in supporting the Afghanistan-centered regional frameworks as significant.

Later on, Mr. Al-Shamsi while talking on the relations between Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates, stated that UAE is committed to continuing its assistance to Afghanistan and efforts would be put to expand and strengthen the bilateral relations and increase the assistance rate for Afghanistan with the re-opening of the UAE Embassy in Kabul.

Mr. Al-Shamsi deemed the regional economic cooperation for the economic development of Afghanistan and the region as significant and assured of his country’s support to the economic cooperation frameworks.
