Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives the Letter of Accreditation of the Permanent Representative of the OIC in Afghanistan

KABUL – Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani received the letter of accreditation of the Ambassador and permanent representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Afghanistan, Mr. Huseyin Avni Botsali during an introductory meeting in the Storai Palace of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

At the outset, the Afghan Foreign Minister welcomed Mr. Botsani and expressed his confidence that with the experience the Mr. Botsani has gained from working in Afghanistan and the region, the presence of the OIC mission in Afghanistan will be more significant and its cooperation more effective.

The Afghan Foreign Minister counted the OIC place in the Islamic countries as valuable and expressed hope that the role of OIC in the Afghan led and owned peace process will result in the progress and success in the process.

Later on, Mr. Botsani emphasized that the OIC will strongly support Afghanistan’s peace efforts and will cooperate in the Afghan led and owned peace process and shed light on his mission priorities for a more active presence of the OIC in Afghanistan which includes efforts towards holding an international conference of the Islamic scholars to support peace and build an Islamic University in Afghanistan.
