As a part of delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar visiting Azerbaijan, IEA-Deputy Foreign Minister, Dr. Mohammad Naeem met Mr. Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation and other a range of important issues.Acknowledging Afghanistan’s efforts in ensuring overall security, countering narcotics, and fighting corruption, Mr. Mammadov said that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to its relations with Afghanistan.
Calling the relations between the two countries historic, DFM Naeem said these relations should be further enhanced and strengthened given mutual interests. In the end, the two sides stressed the need to further develop relations between Afghanistan and Azerbaijan.
