The meeting focused on bilateral relations & the recent tension between Afghanistan & Pakistan.
Dr. Mohammad Naeem said that China & Afghanistan are two historical neighbors sharing many commonalities.
Expressing gratitude for China’s support & DFM M. Naeem affirmed that the Islamic Emirate is committed to engagement with all countries based on mutual respect, adding that Afghanistan’s soil will not be used against any other nation.
He noted that Pakistan has been testing the patience of the Islamic Emirate over the past four years, compelling a response,& reiterated that the Emirate’s firm position is that issues should be resolved through dialogue and understanding.
Mr. Yue Xiaoyong said that China wishes to strengthen long-term relations with Afghanistan based on mutual respect and values its national sovereignty, adding further he said that China seeks to play a constructive role in resolving differences between Afghanistan & Pakistan, & welcomes the mediation efforts of Qatar & Türkiye.
