The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, leading delegations, jointly paid a visit to the TAPI pipeline construction site within Afghan territory near the Afghanistan-Turkmenistan border.
During visit, the discussions extended beyond the TAPI pipeline project to include the expansion of the railway, the construction of railway warehouses in Torghundi, the deployment of fiber optic networks, & the facilitation of visa issuance & transportation services.
The Turkmen Foreign Minister provided a comprehensive briefing on the progress of the TAPI pipeline, the acceleration of construction activities, & the next steps in the project.
In the end, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to expediting the TAPI project, expanding railway infrastructure, improving energy & transport services, facilitating the visa issuance process, & enhancing broader economic cooperation, adding further, technical teams will continue their engagements in Kabul & Ashgabat to achieve these objectives.
