Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, leading a delegation, met UAE-Minister of Economy, Mr. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri.
At the outset, welcoming the Afghan delegation led by FM Muttaqi, Mr. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri provided a detailed overview of the UAE’s current economic landscape. Additionally, he also expressed a strong interest in enhancing trade relations between Afghanistan & the UAE.
Later, FM Muttaqi presented an in-depth information on Afghanistan’s economic situation, highlighting available investment opportunities and areas for collaboration in trade.
During meeting, comprehensive discussions were held on key topics such as mineral extraction, mechanization of agriculture, market access for agricultural products, trade facilitation, expansion of trade & transit relations between the two nations, the deployment of Afghan workers to the UAE, normalization of banking relations, & strengthening cooperation between the chambers of commerce of both countries.
To end, the two sides agreed to establish technical teams to effectively implement the agreed-upon initiatives, with the shared goal of further strengthening economic relations between Afghanistan & the UAE.
