Today, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal Torki Al-Buqam, called on IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.The meeting underlined matters related to expanding bilateral relations between Afghanistan Saudi Arabia, delivering consular services to Afghans nationals residing in Saudi Arabia, capitalising on existing opportunities to enhance cooperation.Welcoming KSA-Ambassador & calling Afg-KSA relations invaluable & historic, FM Muttaqi underscored the need to increase the exchange of delegations between the two countries. Additionally, FM Muttaqi also expressed hope that the Saudi government would consider increasing the quota for Hajj & Umrah for Afghan pilgrims & extending support for the provision of consular services to Afghan nationals residing in Saudi Arabia.Later, describing the bilateral relations as longstanding, KSA-Ambassador affirmed his country’s commitment to extending support to Afghans through its presence in Kabul, adding further, he noted that both countries can jointly work in various sectors, & the purpose resuming KSA-embassy in Kabul aims at maximising all the existing opportunities available.
