IEA-Foreign Minister extends condolence to the Iranian Ambassador & the Special Representative of the President in Kabul

Today, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul & the Special Representative of the Iranian President, Mr. Hassan Kazmi Qomi, called on IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi lvi Amir Khan Muttaqi,

During meeting, on the behalf of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan & its people, FM Muttaqi extended condolences & sympathy over the incident of helicopter crash that has taken the lives of the Iranian President, Dr. Sayed Ebrahim Raisi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Amir Abdullahian & other colleagues, & prayed to grant Jannat al-Firdous to the deceaseds and patience for the Iranian nation.

FM Muttaqi called the contribution of the late President and Minister of Foreign Affairs invaluable to the development of regional cooperation, in particular with Afghanistan.

Later, expressing gratitude to the government & people of Afghanistan for the message of condolence, Mr. Qomi said that the government and people of Iran received the message of condolence from the government and people of Afghanistan in the first moments of this incident.

To end, calling the relations between the people and governments of the two countries good, Mr. Qomi said that he is yet inform the Afghan side about the decisions of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the funeral and burial rites.
