As per the directive of the Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting was chaired by IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, attended by the representatives of security agencies, the Ministries of Mines and Petroleum, Public Works, Information and Culture, Communications and Information Technology & the Afghanistan Electricity Company as well as IEA-Chief Spokesperson.The meeting was held at IEA-MoFA, focusing on the preparations for the inaugural ceremony of the several key initiatives between Afghanistan & Turkmenistan.During meeting, the commission chair & officials of line departments presented exhaustive reports detailing the progress of the sub-committees regarding the preparations, & key decisions were made to ensure the seamless execution of the inaugural ceremony.In near future, the projects are anticipated to be inaugurated through a number of ceremonial proceedings.
The first meeting of the commission for the inauguration of the TAPI, Fiber Optic, TAP & Railway projects between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, was convened.
