The Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan presented a copy of his letter of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

On October 9, 2024, Sheikh Abdul Ghafar Bahr formally presented a copy of his credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Mr. Bakhtiyor Saidov.
During the ceremony, extending a warm welcome to the IEA-Ambassador, Mr. Saidov regarded this exchange as an important step toward strengthening diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, noting that both countries enjoy shared interests and have achieved substantial economic growth over the past three years. Additionally, Mr. Saidov said that following appointment of the IEA-Ambassador, the bilateral relations would further expand.
Expressing pleasure in assuming his role as the official IEA-Ambassador extraordinaire and plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, Mr. Bahr described the upgradation of bilateral relations between the two nations as a pivotal phase, hoping for further progress and expansion.
Commending Uzbekistan’s goodwill towards Afghanistan, calling it a brethren nation, Mr. Bahr highlighted the existing stability in Afghanistan as a key opportunity for investment, stressing to take maximum advantage for the benefit of both countries.
In the near future, IEA-Ambassador is expected to present his original letter of credence to the President of Uzbekistan, Mr.
