Pak-SPR for Afghanistan Calls on IEA-Foreign Minister

Pakistan’s Special Envoy, Mohammad Sadiq Khan, accompanying a delegation, called on IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi
The meeting centred on strengthening bilateral relations between Afghanistan & Pakistan, upgrading diplomatic engagement, enhancing trade & transit cooperation, & addressing issues concerning the people of both nations.
Reaffirming Afghanistan’s commitment to fostering positive relations with Pakistan, FM Muttaqi stressed on leveraging the commonalities between two nations in political, economic, trade, & transit disciplines.
Underscoring the issues pertinent to trade & transit between the two countries, FM Muttaqi said that trade & transit exchanges could be further enhanced through greater government coordination, facilitating people-to-people movement, & resolving the existing challenges.
Conveying the greetings & best wishes of Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Mr. Sadiq Khan reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening positive relations with Afghanistan, & acknowledged Afghanistan’s current security situation as advantageous for Pakistan & the broader region.
Further, Mr. Khan highlighted that the purpose of his visit is, while addressing the mutual challenges, to enhance political, economic, trade, & transit cooperations between the two nations.
