The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, while welcoming the ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) & the Israeli occupying regime, extends its gratitude to the mediating countries, particularly the governments of Qatar & Egypt, for their efforts in facilitating this agreement.
This ceasefire is a result of the phenomenal perseverance of the Palestinian people, forged through the historic struggle & sacrifices of over fifteen months of resistance in the Gaza Strip. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan congratulates the leadership of the Islamic Resistance & the steadfast Palestinian people on this remarkable achievement.
Now, it is imperative that all phases of the agreement be implemented in a manner that ensures the sustainability of the ceasefire & facilitates the immediate delivery of humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza. Considering the outcomes of previous agreements, it is the responsibility of all actors involved, along with the international community, to ensure that the commitments made by the Israeli regime fulfilled responsibly.
Lasting peace & stability in the Middle East can only be achieved through the legitimate resolution of the Palestinian issue & the realization of Palestinian independence.
On the behalf Afghan nation, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as consistently done in the past, reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people & advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
