Today, Mr. Mohammad Reza Bahrami, the Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Iranian Ambassador in Kabul called on IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
The meeting focused on a new chapter in relations between the two countries, recent developments, water-related issues, and the situation of Afghan refugees residing in Iran.
Describing Afghanistan’s relations with Iran as growing, FM Muttaqi reiterated that both countries should fully utilize the existing opportunities.In response, Mr. Bahrami highlighted a new phase in bilateral relations following the recent visit of Iran’s Foreign Minister to Kabul and reaffirmed the commitment to effectively managing relations between the two countries.
