FM Muttaqi Meets with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral political and economic relations, with particular emphasis on investment, trade, transit, and transportation.
Hailing the positive trajectory of Afg-Kazakh relations, FM Muttaqi noted the commendable progress achieved over the past three and a half years, & reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation with Kazakhstan in political, transit, and transport sectors, adding further, he encouraged the Kazakh delegation to consider greater facilitation and expansion in the issuance of visas to bolster trade engagement.

Viewing Kazakhstan’s investment in Afghanistan’s railway sector as beneficial, FM Muttaqi expressed hope that both nations could play a constructive role in regional connectivity.
He proposed coordinated efforts between Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, and regional partners to address and resolve existing challenges along transit routes.

Mr. Zhumangarin called Afghanistan an important and inseparable partner for Kazakhstan in the region and added that his country has consistently maintained political and economic relations with Afghanistan.
He stated that the purpose of his visit to Kabul included attending an exhibition of Kazakh products and mentioned a $500 million investment in the Torghundi-Herat railway line, noting Kazakhstan’s intention to establish a transport and logistics center in Herat province.
In conclusion, both sides insisted on increasing such visits and meetings.
