Pursuant to the special decree issued owing to Eid al-Fitr by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of the Sultanate of Oman, nine Afghan prisoners have been released.
Among the released, six individuals have returned to the country following coordination with the concerned authorities, while the remaining three are expected to return soon.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan extends its gratitude to the Sultanate of Oman for this humanitarian and Islamic gesture, and looks forward for continued cooperation and cordial relations.
