The meeting focused on the new phase of Afghanistan-Russia relations, understandings reached during the Kazan meeting, and discussions regarding bilateral working committees.
Handing over the official note of acceptance for the Afghan ambassador-designate to Russia, Mr. Zhirnov expressed hope that the elevation of diplomatic relations between the two countries would lead to progress in various sectors.
Describing the new chapter of relations with the Russian Federation as important, FM Muttaqi expressed hope that both nations would be able to further expand bilateral cooperation in different domains during this phase.
