At the outset, congratulations were extended on the appointment of the OIC’s new Secretary-General. The discussions also focused on Afghanistan’s important position in the Organisation’s vision and constructive engagement with Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and the broader region, as well as political and economic developments involving regional countries and international community. The emergence of new opportunities in various fields was also highlighted as a noteworthy development.
To end, emphasis was placed on the importance of further expanding relations between Afghanistan and the OIC and opening new avenues for cooperation.
