EU-Special Representative for Afghanistan, Tomas Niklasson called on IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
During meeting, Mr. Nicholson underlined the importance of the participation of IEA’s representatives in the 3rd Doha meeting, saying that is where important issues will be taken into discussions. Meanwhile, he also shared his observations concerning this meeting with FM Muttaqi.
Later, highlighting on the useful discussion held with the UN-Deputy Secretary General, Mrs. Rosemary Anne DiCarlo in Kabul, FM Muttaqi said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is doing its research on the framework of 3rd Doha meeting, following that, it will announce its position thereof.
In the end, FM Muttaqi said that the policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is based on a balanced & positive engagement with all the countries of the world, & seeks a meaningful participation in the 3rd Doha meeting, which will bear positive results to the Afghan people & in the property of country, adding further, FM Muttaqi said that following 45 years of war and destruction, Afghanistan has significant positive achievements in various areas.
