The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shadmanov Yadgarkhoja Makhamatovic paid a farewell call to IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.

During meeting, which was also attended by the newly designated IEA-Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Sheikh Abdul Ghafar Bahr, FM Muttaqi hailed the role of Uzbekistan’s embassy in strengthening bilateral relations between the IEA and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Acknowledging the importance of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic presence in Kabul since IEA’s victory, FM Muttaqi emphasized that upgrading Afghanistan’s diplomatic presence in Tashkent would contribute to the progress of bilateral relations, adding further, FM Muttaqi underscored that the appointment of the IEA-Ambassador to Tashkent would open a new chapter in the relations between the two countries.
Later, reflecting on his time in Afghanistan with fond memories, the Uzbek Ambassador expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the IEA-MoFA during his mission in Afghanistan.
Terming the bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan as progressing, the Uzbek Ambassador noted that both countries are poised to enhance cooperation across multiple domains.
