As a result of the Embassy of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Cairo, 17 Afghan nationals have been released from prisons across various countries.
Over the past three months, the IEA-Embassy in Cairo secured the release of 17 Afghan nationals. who had been incarcerated for various reasons in multiple African countries, including Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Sudan, and Mauritania. Following their release, they were repatriated to Afghanistan via Ariana Afghan Airlines.
This prisoner release initiative was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the IEA-Embassy in Cairo and the line authorities of the aforementioned countries.
