The embassies and consulates of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan provide the following specialized consular services abroad:
• Issuance of Afghan national identity cards
• Issuance of new passports to Afghan nationals.
• Issuance of passport renewal stickers to Afghan nationals.
• Providing a new passport in case lost or stolen.
• Facilitating the repatriation of Afghan nationals who lack valid passports or official travel documents.
• Monitoring & handling cases of Afghan detainees abroad, including tracking legal proceedings, ensuring communication with their families, &   coordinating necessary support.
• Facilitating the repatriation of deceased Afghan nationals, including coordination with host countries for retrieval & transfer procedures.
• Protecting the rights of Afghan nationals abroad & ensuring systematic resolution of their issues.
• Verification, & issuance of various documents to Afghan nationals foreigners.
• Issuance of Afghan visas to foreign nationals, including all categories, in compliance with the regulations & established procedures of the Islamic   Emirate of Afghanistan.
