Afghanistan's Independence Days

Afghanistan is a country that, in the contemporary history of the world, has achieved victory and independence three times over the course of a century against three occupying superpowers. This was the result of fulfilling the sacred duty of jihad in the path of Allah the Almighty and with the support of its brave nation. Therefore, in honor of commemorating this independence, these three days are declared as public holidays across the country.
- 19 August 1919 – Independence Day.
- 15 February 1989 – Victory Day of the Islamic State.
- 15 August 2021 – Day of Victory: The end of the occupation of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan.
