In the meeting, FM Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi highlighted the importance of regional organizations, adding that Afghanistan is the hub of the region, therefore regional cooperation is one of the important axes of Afghanistan’s balanced & economy-centric foreign policy.
We believe that regional cooperation leads not only to economic development but also to sustainable peace & prosperity between countries. Also, the participants in the meeting emphasized the importance of resuming relations with the mentioned organizations & internal coordination & cooperation to achieve the said goal, calling the holding of such meetings positive & advising for its follow-up & continuation.

(SAARC, ECO, SCO, HoA- IP, ACD, Colombo plan, CAREC, CICA, SPECA) to create an atmosphere of trust between the member countries & to resume relations with the said mechanisms, was held with the efforts of the Department of Regional Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
