IEA senior delegation led by Acting Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Mouttaqi who has traveled to Tehran at the invitation of Iran, met today with Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran.

In the meeting, positive and constructive discussions were

held on bilateral economy-centered political relations, trade, fuel, transit and security issues.

The two sides also described Afghanistan’s territorial position as a connecting link between Central Asia and South Asia, through which Iran could export to other countries in the region, and Afghanistan could benefit from Iran’s transit.
