The officials of human rights, women’s affairs and social affairs of OIC also participated in this meeting.
The meeting focused on the resolutions of OIC regarding Afghanistan & the decisions made during previous visits including several other matters.
FM Muttaqi presented information regarding the end of bloodshed in the country, establishment of security, and the elimination of the Daesh, IS-KP, the active participation of women In health, education, commerce & other fields, the special attention of IEA-leaders to ensuring women’s basic rights, IEA’s continued assistance to widows, orphans and other needy people and several other issues.
Later, conveying the greetings of the Secretary General of OIC, Mr. Tariq Ali Bakheet said that this visit is the part of the strategy of OIC’s constructive engagement with Afghanistan, having been adopted about IEA, adding he hailed the efforts and progress of IEA in countering narcotics & corruption, ensuring security and other areas, emphasizing the need for the direct engagement and understanding between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the member stated of OIC.
Executive Director of the Independent Permanent Commission for Human Rights, Dr. Noura Al-Rushoud extended gratitude to IEA for the achievements and opportunities in ensuring peace and governance.
Following, the Director general of cultural, social and family affairs, Dr. Amina Alhajri presented information about the ongoing projects in various fields, and showed readiness to provide all kinds of assistance in line with Afghanistan’s priorities.
WDO-Executive Director Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaibi said that the situation they observe in Afghanistan is different to the picture presented by foreign media, and expressed happiness for opportunities provided by the government in the field of education, health, and business.
In the end, providing assurance of all round of cooperation on the behalf of IEA, FM Muttaqi said that IEA is ready to extend any assistance to OIC in all issues in regards to the Islamic world, including the issue of Palestine.
