The Special Envoy of the People’s Republic of China for Afghanistan, Mr. Yue Xiaoyong, called on IEA Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
The meeting focused on enhancing political relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Acknowledging China’s sustained support to the Islamic Emirate, FM Muttaqi commended the progress achieved in bilateral trade relations.
Reaffirming his country’s commitment to supporting Afghanistan within the international community, the Chinese Special Envoy stated that China would spare no effort in contributing to Afghanistan’s economic development.
Furthermore, Mr. Yue Xiaoyong, on behalf of the Chinese Foreign Minister, extended a formal invitation to the Afghan Foreign Minister for an official visit later this month, which was graciously accepted by the Afghan side.
