During the meeting, Mr. Zhirnov shared detailed information regarding the upcoming 7th session of the Moscow Format, scheduled for October, & stated that for the first time the Russian Federation will welcome the participation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as a formal member of this platform.
Describing Afghanistan’s membership in the Moscow Format as an important & fundamental step, FM Muttaqi expressed hope that such regional frameworks would contribute to building mutual trust & fostering positive developments between Afghanistan & the broader region.
