PRC-Envoy Calls on Foreign Minister

The Special Representative of the People’s Republic of China, Yue Xiaoyong called on IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi
The two sides held comprehensive discussions on strengthening bilateral relations, regional security, and advancing the Urumqi Dialogue Process.

P.R.C Special Representative emphasized the continuation and effectiveness of the Urumqi dialogue process, calling it an important framework for regional stability and coordination. Additionally, he noted that the next phase should focus on delivering tangible outcomes and stressed the importance of serious engagement, confidence-building, and mutual understanding.

Later, FM Muttaqi stated that regional stability, balance, economic cooperation, and relations based on mutual respect constitute the core pillars of Afghanistan’s foreign policy. He underscored that the success of the dialogue process depends on concrete actions, strengthening the atmosphere of trust, and de-escalating the tension.

Adding further, FM Muttaqi said that the Islamic Emirate has taken considerable steps in these areas and underscored that the next phase should proceed on the basis of a clear, practical, and results-oriented agenda to further enhance lasting stability and cooperation among regional countries.
