Japanese Ambassador Calls on Foreign Minister

The Ambassador of Japan, Kenichi Masamitsu called on IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi,
During meeting, FM Muttaqi focused on ongoing regional developments, as well as the importance and expansion of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Japan.

FM Muttaqi said that Japan holds an important place in Afghanistan’s foreign policy and appreciated Japan’s continued assistance to the Afghan people in various sectors, its understanding of the realities in Afghanistan, its positive stance, and its consistent support.

Ambassador Kenichi Masamitsu stated that Japan remains committed to cooperation and assistance with Afghanistan in various fields and will continue its cooperation thereof.
In the end, both sides stressed on enhanced bilateral relations, strengthening coordination and mutual engagement in humanitarian areas, as well as holding technical meetings.
