Mr. Sigvald Tomin Hauge, the newly appointed Chargé d’Affaires of the Kingdom of Norway to Afghanistan, called on Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
Wishing him success in his new assignment, the Foreign Minister assured him of comprehensive cooperation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also discussed the historical relations between Afghanistan and Norway and ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Expressing gratitude for Afghanistan’s warm hospitality and cooperation, Mr. Hauge praised the Islamic Emirate’s achievements and progress in the areas of security, counter-narcotics, and economic stability.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on bilateral relations and several other issues of mutual interest.
