Today, IEA Acting Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Al-Hanafi, and Member of the Team Hafez Anas Haqqani welcomed at MoFA the previous Kabul Administration State Minister for Peace, Mr. Abdul Salam Rahimi.
Expressing delight over Mr. Rahimi’s return to the homeland, Minister Muttaqi assured him of a dignified life in the country.
The Foreign Minister
also expressed concern over the living conditions of Afghans living in camps abroad and expressed hope that they would return home and live happily in their homeland.
Mr. Muttaqi said that difference in opinions is a natural phenomenon and the Islamic Emirate respects it,however, Afghans share religion, and homeland serving Afghanistan is a shared goal for all.
Mr. Rahimi said, he was happy to be back in his country and the positive changes that have taken place with the new government are commendable. Mr. Rahimi called on the IEA officials to be more patient in the face of the leading challenges and efforts of the IEA officials, adding that the new government has kept things running smoothly and well with limited resources. Mr. Rahimi said that currently there exist no significant threats or obstacles inside or outside the country.
It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Al-Hanafi and Hafiz Anas Haqqani also welcomed Mr. Rahimi and expressed delight over his return home.
