The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, accompanying a delegation was offered a banquet by the Afghan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce in Mashhad, Iran.

The governor, the deputy governor of Khorasan Rizvi province, head of the Afghan mission in Tehran, the Afghan consul general in Mashhad, officials of the joint chamber of commerce and businessmen of the two countries participated in the dinner arranged by Iranian and Afghan businessmen.

FM Muttaqi touched on the economy-centric foreign policy of the Islamic Emirate, and the business , economic, industrial and agricultural available opportunities in Afghanistan.

Encouraging the Iranian and Afghan businessmen to invest in Afghanistan, he assured that the Afghan government will provide maximum support in this regard.

Referring tothe importance of Afghanistan’s transit, FM Muttaqi talked about the ways connecting the neighbours, the region and the world, and also discussed the importance of the Wakhan Corridor in detail.

Elaborating on the security, unity, economic growth and all-round cooperation in Afghanistan and the region, FM Muttaqi said that Afghan government will make efforts for the betterment of the region, and does not allow anyone to pose challenges to the security of Afghanistan, neighboring and regional countries.

To end, giving necessary recommendations to the businessmen participating in the meeting about healthy competition in the field of investment, FM Muttaqi thanked the Afghan-Iranian Chamber of Commerce for their hospitality and warm welcome.
