IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with the Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on the sidelines of the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC in Istanbul.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations, regional projects, & cooperation in trade & transit.
FM Muttaqi expressed hope that upgrading diplomatic relations between the two countries would lead to further enhanced practical cooperation.
FM Ishaq Dar also emphasized the potential for both countries to achieve tangible progress on major initiatives, such as the expansion of Afghan transit.
Additionally, the two counterparts discussed the upcoming trilateral dialogue between the foreign ministers of Afghanistan, Pakistan, & China, which is scheduled to take place in Kabul.
