At outset, Mr. Equiza said that as a result of overall security in the country, our operations in the country have been facilitated very well by IEA.
Now, we can better provide assistance in the areas of education, health and water sanitation in Afghanistan.
We are working hard to provice cooperation in the field of health care with the support of international community and World Bank.
Elaborating further, he said that they will provide polio vaccination for over 10 million children, stationary to about 6 million children, drinking water to one million children, and basic health services to 20 million people in Afghanistan through polio program by 2024.
Also, Mr. Equiza said that we are trying to build shelters to provide health care for children on the borders with Iran and Pakistan.
DFM Stanekzai expressed gratitude for the work of UNICEF doing in Afghanistan and added that Afghanistan has just come out of a long war, due to which health, education, and agriculture sections have been badly affected, leaving a negative impact on people’s lives.
To end, Mr. Stanekzai said that now the time has come for the international community and friendly countries to come together and provide assistance for Afghans in the realm of education, health, construction of dams and rehabilitation of drug addicts.
