Japanese Ambassador Calls on Deputy Foreign Minister

The Ambassador of Japan to Afghanistan, Mr. Masamoto Kenichi called on Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Naeem.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Japan, shared interests, and ways to further strengthen their ongoing cooperation.

Expressing hope for the further enhanced relations between the two countries, the Japanese Ambassador also commended the Islamic Emirate’s serious and effective efforts in combating narcotics, acknowledged the improved security situation and other positive developments in Afghanistan, and welcomed the recent Brussels meeting between the Islamic Emirate and the European Union.

Expressing appreciation for Japan’s positive position and its continued assistance to the Afghan people, Dr. Mohammad Naeem emphasized the importance of expanding and strengthening bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries.
In the past end, both sides underscored the importance of holding such meetings to enhance mutual coordination and cooperation.
