The report about the management of humanitarian aid in Afghanistan prepared by the recommendation of the International Development Authority of United States of America claims that international humanitarian aid to underprivileged Afghans is considered by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as a source of income.
This claim is in contradiction with the ground realities and we strongly reject it.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, as a responsible government, not only provides the necessary facilities for international humanitarian aid, but , despite all the unilateral and illegal sanctions, the Afghan government itself help hundreds of thousands of its underprivileged people every year from its internal revenues.
The Islamic Emirate provides monthly support to 350,000 orphans, 190,000 disabled people, 80,000 widows and tens of thousands of beggars.
Moreover, 80,000 drug addicts are being rehabilitated phase wise.
Considering these examples that the Islamic Emirate has allocated a significant portion of its budget to humanitarian aid.
it seems untrue that it will benefit from international humanitarian aid though.
In this report, an attempt was made to accuse and defame humanitarian organizations of the United Nations, and the United States, as a responsible side for the existing humanitarian crises in Afghanistan, released itself from its international obligations and justified its actions.
Instead spreading such rumours, the Islamic Emirate calls for positive engagement for the interests of both sides, and after losing other means of pressure, now using humanitarian aid as a tool of pressure is itself an act of inhumanity.
