During meeting, talks were held regarding increasing the level of bilateral diplomatic relations, recent regional developments and several other issues pertaining to bilateral security and economic domains.
At the outset, expressing happiness with the hospitality of China and the positive outcomes of the discussions held during his last visit to China, FM Muttaqi hoped that China will extend its cooperation with IEA regarding enhanced bilateral relations.
Calling the relations of the two countries positive, Mr. Xing illustrated China’s interest in further developing diplomatic relations.
Underscoring the issue of the forced deportation of Afghan refugees,and welcoming Afghan refugees, FM Muttaqi highlighted the measures taken by the Afghan government to accommodate them in the country and elaborated on forcibly deporting Afghan refugees at the beginning of the cold winter, usurping their property and other rights, and several other problems.
Showing readiness to provide assistance, Mr. Xing expressed hope that the governments of Afghanistan and Pakistan will be able to resolve this issue in a good way.
