The meeting focused on bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, the upgrading diplomatic engagement and various regional issues.
Describing Qatar’s relations with Afghanistan as close and brotherly,
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani expressed satisfaction with the development of Afghanistan’s relations with regional countries.
Furthermore,
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani highlighted the importance of expanding trade relations between the two nations and emphasized the importance of establishing organized and continuous communication between the private sectors of both countries.
Expressing his gratitude to the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister for the invitation, FM Muttaqi acknowledged Qatar’s distinguished position in the foreign policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Commending Qatar’s constructive role in strengthening Afghanistan’s engagement with the international community, FM Muttaqi stated that upgrading of diplomatic relations would further deepen bilateral cooperation.
To end, FM Muttaqi proposed that Qatar consider investment opportunities in Afghanistan’s development and trade sectors and work towards enhancing the volume and scope of bilateral trade.
