The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in discussions on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding cooperation across various sectors, and addressing key regional issues of mutual interest.
Commending the positive trajectory of Afg-Qatar relations, FM Muttaqi expressed hope regarding the upgrading level of diplomatic engagement between the two nations in the near future.
Acknowledging Qatar’s contribution to Afghanistan, particularly in the areas of development and humanitarian assistance, FM Muttaqi reaffirmed the Afghan government’s commitment to continued cooperation
Describing Qatar’s relationship with Afghanistan as close, Mr. Al-Khulaifi highlighted several avenues for deepening cooperation, emphasizing Qatar’s readiness to support Afghanistan in the fields of culture, healthcare, sports, and labor mobility.
Additionally, he stressed on establishing a structured mechanism for regular communication between the foreign ministries of both countries to ensure effective coordination and follow-up on shared initiatives.
