Pakistan’s & Chinese Special Envoys Call On IEA-Foreign Minister

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a meeting in Kabul with the Special Envoy of China, Mr. Yue Xiaoyong, and the Special Envoy of Pakistan, Mr. Mohammad Sadiq, along with their accompanying delegations.

The meeting focused on following up on the agenda of the 5th round of the Afghanistan-China-Pakistan Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Dialogue, preparations for the upcoming 6th round, as well as discussions on the forthcoming 5th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, including matters related to political and economic cooperation.

Underscoring the importance of political and economic relations with both countries, FM Muttaqi expressed hope for continued progress in these areas.

The Special Envoys of China and Pakistan reaffirmed their commitment to enhanced relations with Afghanistan based on the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect.

In conclusion, all sides concurred that the sixth round of the Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Dialogue will be convened in Kabul, with preparatory measures also to be undertaken for the forthcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries.
