IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi held a telephonic conversation with Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.
Strongly condemning the recent Israeli attack on Qatari soil, FM Muttaqi assured that the Afghan people & government stand by the State & people of Qatar in these critical circumstances. Additionally, he noted that alongside nearly two years of continuous genocide in Gaza, the attack on the Palestinian negotiating delegation in Doha is a blatant violation of international laws, norms, & values.
Dr. Al-Khulaifi expressed gratitude to the Islamic Emirate for its condemnation & support, calling it a clear sign of brotherhood. He also explained Qatar’s mediation policy regarding negotiations between Hamas & Israel, stressing that the attack occurred while the Palestinian delegation was discussing a ceasefire proposal, making it a direct assault on peace efforts.
To end, FM Muttaqi stressed that Islamic countries must adopt a united, serious, & meaningful position against the Israeli regime.
