IEA-Foreign Minister held a telecon with Mr. Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the conversation, the two sides focused on bilateral relations, facilitation measures for Afghan nationals residing in Saudi Arabia, and regional issues.At the outset, underscoring the importance of enhanced bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, FM Muttaqi commended the Kingdom’s efforts toward promoting regional stability.
Expressing appreciation to the Saudi side for providing facilitation in information dissemination for Afghan nationals residing in the Kingdom, FM Muttaqi stressed on importance of enhancing human resource capacity within diplomatic missions to ensure better progress.
Likewise, K.S.A Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of expanding diplomatic relations between the two countries and welcomed efforts aimed at strengthening the capacity of diplomatic missions.
Further, he underlined that regional stability is of shared importance and stressed dialogue and diplomacy for resolving conflicts.In the end, Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued engagement and agreed to pursue meetings at a mutually convenient opportunity.
