The introduction ceremony of Mr. Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai as Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, was held today at the Storai Palace.
The ceremony began with the participation of the directors and deputies of various directorates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Mr. Stanekzai was subsequently invited to deliver his statement to the participants.
Mr. Stanekzai began his speech by praising almighty Allah and congratulated the whole nation on this great victory and the return of the Islamic system to the country.
During his speech, which lasted nearly an hour, Mr. Stanekzai said he was confident that just as their Mujahid nation, with the help of God Almighty, alone and with little resources, could defeat the United States and NATO and liberate the country, it could strengthen and save the country from crisis.
During his speech, Mr. Stanekzai touched upon political, security, health and economic sectors of the country and expressed hope that, Allah willing, everything is moving forward.
He also said that all Afghans who have left the country should return in order to make good use of the amnesty provided by the leadership of the Islamic Emirate. Security is ensured throughout the country and they could live a normal and free life as Afghans.
Mr Stanekzai said only Afghans can build their country and we must unite and play a constructive role in rebuilding the country. We shouldn’t talk about ethnic groups, sides and languages, this country belongs to all Afghan and it is every Afghan’s duty to contribute to its reconstruction.
Referring to some media speculations, Mr. Stanekzai said that enmity with the new Islamic government is not in anyone’s interest and that people should not amplify the voice of the so called resistance before the media, it has no effect and it has been proven. Instead, they should come and spend their energy on the progress of the country.
At the end of his speech to the participants, Mr. Stanekzai said that a high-level delegation of the IAE led by the Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi was in talks with representatives of the United States and the European Union and a number of other parties, so I urge all of you to give us good political advice, I am always at your service and our doors will be open to you.
The ceremony ended with a closing prayer with Du’a to Almighty Allah for a lasting Islamic government, security in the country and the prosperous life of the Afghan people.
