Expressing his satisfaction with his trip to Afghanistan and the meetings held in Afghanistan, Mr. Feridun held discussions regarding the composition and suggestions of his report.
Sharing his opinion, Mr. Faridum stressed on increased interaction between Afghanistan and the international community.
Recalling the progress IEA made in Afghanistan in ensuring security, countering narcotics, providing services with transparency in the areas of economy, health, and governance, and the measures taken in relation with positive engagement with international community, FM Muttaqi said that despite everything, instead of appreciating, the international community has always made one-sided demands and meted out a collective punishment to the people of Afghanistan by freezing Afghanistan’s assets and imposing sanctions, which hinders constructive interaction.
To end, FM Muttaqi reiterated that now Afghanistan should not be considered as an unsafe country where there is war or chaos, but now there is peace and a centralized government, so it would be good if the international community move forward for constructive interaction taking the ground reality into consideration.
