The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is closely monitoring the incident of violence committed by a Belarusian citizen against an Afghan child at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow.
The Afghan Embassy in Moscow has been assigned to pursue the matter through all diplomatic and legal channels in the host country and to report its findings to the Ministry.
Hafiz Abdullah Yasir, Senior Advisor at the Embassy, visited the injured child and, in addition to delivering financial assistance provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assured the family of full cooperation.
As the perpetrator is currently in custody, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan urges the Russian Federation to seriously pursue the case and ensure that the offender is brought to justice.
