Foreign Minister Holds Telecon with UN-Under Secretary General

Conveying his deep concern regarding the recent airstrikes conducted by Pakistan, which reportedly resulted in civilian casualties, FM Muttaqi noted that over the past four years, similar incidents have repeatedly led to target civilians. Additionally, he stated that no armed individuals, whose presence and targeting have been claimed by the Pakistani side, have been confirmed among those killed, & described the allegations against Afghanistan as unfounded.

Furthermore, FM Muttaqi said that no armed groups are present in Afghanistan & emphasized that all parties, including members of the diplomatic corps, may visit the site of the recent airstrike to observe the situation firsthand.

Expressing her deep condolences over the loss of civilian lives, Ms. DiCarlo stated that the matter of the airstrikes would be raised with United Nations member states & relevant stakeholders.
The discussion also covered the Doha meetings, working groups, & other related issues.
In the end, the two sides expressed hope that, alongside existing progress, continued engagement & joint efforts would help facilitate further progress.
