The Ambassador Extraordinaire & Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to the United Arab Emirates, Mawlawi Badruddin Haqqani, called on the President of UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The meeting focused on Afg-UAE relations, recent regional developments, & potential opportunities for mutual cooperation.
Mr. Badruddin Haqqani raised key issues, including the repatriation of Afghan prisoners from the UAE to Afghanistan, streamlining visa processes for Afghan nationals, & resolving challenges faced by the Afghan diaspora residing in the UAE.
In response, calling the bilateral relations fraternal, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed assured his full cooperation & support thereof, reaffirming his commitment to maintaining strong bilateral relations providing comprehensive assistance.
It is worth noting that on November 10, 2024, Ambassador Haqqani formally presented his credentials to the UAE-President during official proceedings.
